Glider Field Artillery in Europe
Tom Morrison of Ambler, will discuss his experiences during his 29 months of active duty with the U.S. Army from
induction to his discharge during WWII. After joining the l0lst Airborne Division in the Spring of l944,
where he became a member of the 321st Glider Field Artillery Battalion, experiences starting in Normandy, Holland,
Battle of the Bulge at Bastogne, and on to the end of the war culminating at Hitler's mountain redoubt at
Berchtesgaden, Germany. Tom has been sport parachuting for the past 39 years. He jumped at the 50th anniversary
jumps in Holland, also jumped in Belgium, England and Switzerland and throughout the U.S. He has logged over 9,300
skydives and was part of the 75th birthday jump with President George H. W. Bush in l999.
